About
Mennonite Community Services addresses the needs of its clients through a variety of services provided by programs. Low German Mennonite and other newcomers are assisted through the Newcomer and Settlement Services to navigate the details of documents and processes, including support for immigration and citizenship. MCS connects its clients to public and private school systems, healthcare, and other social services. The Family Education Support Project of Aylmer, FESPA, offers a program of education in life skills and nutrition for women, and school readiness for young children. Employment Services assists newcomers in finding jobs to match their skills with local opportunities for work. A visit to the Aylmer Thrift Store will aid families with their practical needs with gently used clothing, household goods, children’s toys, and collectors’ treasures, all at affordable prices. The radio station, De Brigj 105.9 FM, provides information about upcoming events and opportunities for newcomers in their settlement.
Community Partnerships and Church Affiliates
MCS values its partnerships with community agencies. We are also blessed in having the leadership of a volunteer board of directors. Members of the board are nominated for election from five local Mennonite constituent church groups.
